During the generative period the penguins from the Adely island court with pebbles. The females are willing to sell their bodies to the male who gives the most. Momchil, an 18-year-old kid, gets into a similar situation, only this time with humans. He is trying to get the girl of his heart through “pebbles” but it turns out that his rival is richer.

synopsis

A male penguin is walking around a couple of females, trying to draw their attention, showing off, dancing.

MOMCHIL (18) is in the school yard and is heading to a couple of girls. He is trying to speak with NEDA (18) but she is making a sign to go away. NEDA is leaving and he is following her while explaining something to her. She is walking ahead without turning back. On the school parking lot a black jeep Mercedes is pulling up, IVAN is getting off it, hugging NEDA, kissing her. She is returning the kiss. MOMCHIL is standing aside and watches them, after that he passes by. NEDA and IVAN are getting into the car.

A penguin is walking around a small heap of pebbles and observes them, then he passes them by and stops in front of another heap, pushing one of the pebbles, which withdraws from the others. The penguin is bending over it.

MOMCHIL is walking on the sidewalk and he is holding a paving-block in his hand, a black bandana is tied around his neck, he is wearing a black sweatshirt and loose jeans. There are many fancy shops, big shop windows and illuminating signs around. MOMCHIL is putting his hood on the head and the bandana, so that it hides his mouth and nose. He is walking a little bit further and speeds up, he is throws the stone at one of the shops’ windows. The window is broken and MOMCHIL grabs a piece of jewelry and runs away.

The male penguin is having a pebble in his bill and he toddles while walking, he is coming near one of the females. He is dropping the pebble in front of her and starts to show off. The female is turning her back on him and goes sitting in her nest, which is made of lots of pebbles like this one.

MOMCHIL is going upstairs in a block of flats, ringing the bell next to a big wooden door and leans on the wall. NEDA is opening the door. MOMCHIL is smiling at her, stretching his clenched fist, slacking it gradually and a beautiful golden necklace is showing out of it. NEDA is making a bored face, rolling up her sleeve and a diamond bracelet appears on her hand. After that she is making a step backwards and shuts the door. MOMCHIL is going down the stairs, going out of the building and sees a black Mercedes jeep on the parking lot. He is taking his keys out and deflating one of the tires.

The penguin is walking around the female’s nest.

MOMCHIL is talking on the phone. Couple of hours later he is meeting a boy. They are hiding in an apartment’s house entrance and MOMCHIL is gives the necklace to the boy, who is gives MOMCHIL a gun. MOMCHIL puts it in his pants and the two of them are leaving the building. They greet and separate.

The male penguin is still walking around the nest, another male penguin, who is bringing food for the female, appears. The two of them attack each other. They start wallowing on the ice, biting and pushing each other, until one of them withdraws. The winner is standing next to the female, showing off and the other one is sliding on the ice. He is getting to the water and dives in it. After a while he is coming out of another hole and is sitting on the ice. He is going to sleep.

MOMCHIL is standing in front of the NEDA’s flat and waits. The black jeep is driving towards him, MOMCHIL is taking his gun and loads it. He is going out of his covert, aiming at the car. He is walking straight to the jeep, which is already parked. In that moment an old lady appears from the flat’s entrance and starts shouting. MOMCHIL is startled and shoots. One of the windows of the jeep is broken. MOMCHIL is running away, IVAN is walking out of his car and is taking out his gun. He is aiming, MOMCHIL is not far away, IVAN is shooting and he is hitting a car, which MOMCHIL had just passed by. MOMCHIL throws the gun in a garbage bin and he is running until he gets home. He is locking himself in his room, dropping the curtains, undressing himself and lying on the bed. He is covering himself.
